Police have secured DNA evidence after the murder in Upplands Vasby – Aftonbladet

The police have secured DNA traces in the investigation of the murder of 21-year-old woman in Upplands Väsby.

Now comes the interesting people to topsas.

– It gives us a good opportunity to get hold of the murderer, says the press spokesperson Lars Bystrom.

It was at the technical investigation of the place where the 21-year-old found that the police secured DNA traces. DNA profile is not in the police records.

The tracks strengthens police hopes to clear up the crime.

The police are still reticent about the investigation. Lars Bystrom would not comment on what type of DNA evidence in the case if, or where they found the tracks.

– We comment anything about the crime scene.

Now that one has DNA from a suspected offender, the people who are interesting in the investigation that topsas.

– Then we can compare the samples with the DNA evidence we now have. And several people have already topsats.



Was out on löptur

At 18:30 pm Aug. 5 gave 21-year-old woman out for a jog in Runby exercise area in Upplands Vasby, north of Stockholm. When she did not come back at 21 o’clock struck her family alarm to the police.

After a great sökinsats found the woman shortly after at 02 dead in connection with the running track. Circumstances at the site meant that the police quickly became suspicious that the woman had been murdered.



Have been monitoring movies

During the investigation, the police has studied material from surveillance cameras located at Runby school, where running track begins. However, it is unclear whether the films could bring the investigation forward.

The police have also conducted numerous interviews with people who moved into the area. Investigators, however, remains interested in getting in contact with people who may have interesting information.

“People who have made observations are aware of someone who behaved in a different way before, during or after the time of offense, or otherwise have information to offer, are invited to get in touch, “writes the police on his website.
