For the first time reveals Telia, Telenor and Tele2 plans for real 5g premiere in Sweden.

Many of the world’s largest mobile operators competing to become first 5g. Verizon in the US promises “some type of” commercial 5g rollout next year.

A South Korean operator must show a 5g network to the Winter Olympics in 2018, and Japanese NTT Docomo plans to have a 5g networks ready for the summer Olympics in 2020.

But what does the Swedish mobile operators? Not so much, until now.

In late January, Telia told that it, together with Ericsson aims to become the first in Europe 5g services in 2018. The tests will take place in Stockholm and Talinn, Estonia. But it is seen more as a pilot project.
