The time when European railway companies chose European trains are passing. German rail giant DB gaze on China.
For Frankfurter Allgemeine says Heike Hanagarth DB: the leadership that within three to five years, Asia, and then above all China, have a key role in the purchase of trains and spare parts for German rail company DB.
In the autumn open railway company a purchasing office in Beijing to work with the Chinese train builders CSR and CNR. These two manufacturers also hold on to merge with the aim of becoming the largest supplier of railway equipment in the world.

Heike Hanagarth is convinced that the Chinese producers, who have the ability to provide large loans for infrastructure investments around the world, will succeed. The Chinese government is interested in increasing exports of railway equipment.
In the not too distant future, Chinese fast train to roll also on German rails, said Hanagarth.
Some of the 35,000 wheelsets DB need replacing every year from 2017 to be delivered from China. These are produced today in German workshops.
