Blood flow in the nose is Rudolph red - Aftonbladet

class=”abCity”> Lund. Now there is film evidence that Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer lives up to its name. A research team in Lund has filmed the bright overcast using an infrared camera. A large blood flow to the reindeer’s muzzle helps reindeer keep warm in the winter cold, which is needed when the animal rummaging for food in the snow.

Researchers, however, raised the question why dogs’ noses are not designed the same way and have therefore decided to launch a new research group at Lund University. Nosgruppen will study how mammals acquire information through the nose.
