Lucia is the children's party - Swedish YLE

– One can be Lucia in many ways, and one need not be a saint, said Wivan Nygård-Fagerudd in his speech to this year’s Lucia.
Cathedral in Helsinki was filled to overflowing, and the pace at night is heavy footsteps were accompanied mainly by eagerly running footsteps and excited shouts. Lucia is the children’s party. Alvin and Edwin standing outside the cathedral with her father Sami. They did not go to church, but did see Lucia go down to his carriage.

– Lucia was good, I think the songs are the finest, says Alvin.

Reverend Stefan Djupsjöbacka reminds the people gathered in the Cathedral of what Lucia does – light.

Earlier in the day visited Lucia and her maids among other My Morning where they performed the song. It was the first official appearance for this year’s Lucia Elin Andersson.

Later they visited also Great Forge in Pasila where Lucia and the bridesmaids appeared for Yle staff.
