Giant Appropriations for rheumatism researcher - UNT

Researchers at Uppsala University Hospital and Uppsala University of Astrazeneca and SciLifeLab received a grant of nearly 30 million for research into the three rheumatologic diseases SLE, Sjogren’s syndrome, and myositis.

It greatly part genetically targeted five-year research project aims to increase understanding of how diseases arise and develop.
– The final goal is to target new drug candidates against targets that are active in the signal transmission between cells in autoimmune inflammatory diseases, says Lars Rönnblom, professor of rheumatology at Uppsala University and leader of the project.
