Culture Minister is expected to reply in the DAB question – New Technology

After the Green Party convention this weekend is said Culture Minister Alice Bah Kuhnke (MP) within a short reply to the question about the digital transition.

According to Ny Teknik experience will S- and the MP Government either on Thursday or possibly after the cabinet meeting next week to provide information on where you stand in the high-profile issue of the transition to digital radio.

This weekend decided the Green Party at its congress that the FM network will not be blacked out.

At the same time rejected a majority within the party, a proposal that the MP should work to ensure that the technology DAB +” ceases in favor of newer technology, “as it says in the Congress Minutes.

Enligt political party’s media spokesperson Niclas Malmberg means stance that the whole issue of Dab is taken off the government’s agenda for the remainder of the term.

Frågan about to go from analog broadcast radio to digital radio has been supported and soaked in Sweden for 20 years.

Alliance government appointed a commission of inquiry in 2014 suggested that technology DAB + will be used for transmitting broadcasting in Sweden and that the FM network should start off by early 2022nd

Marcus Hartmann, Press Officer at Teracom, Boxer group responsible for the radio broadcast, would today not comment on the Green Party’s decision to preserve the FM network.

- Our only comment is that we are awaiting the Government’s reply on this issue and that of course we will act as the government, he said.
