Younger brother is released – older brother omhäktas – Aftonbladet

SKÖVDE / STOCKHOLM. The 34-year-old brother is still suspected on probable cause for the murder of Lisa Holm.

On Tuesday afternoon announced that the District Court that he will be detained for four weeks.

It is an unusual decision – which is only granted in exceptional cases.

– It is a good decision that gives peace of mind. It is much investigative work that remains, said deputy chief prosecutor Lars-Göran Wennerholm.

Today, at 11, the deadline for Lars-Göran Wennerholm, deputy chief prosecutor in Skövde.

It has been gone two weeks since the two Lithuanian brothers, 31 and 34 years old, was arrested on probable cause suspected of the murder of Lisa Holm.

The prosecutor decided that the younger brother should be released, while the elder requested omhäktad.

– The recent investigations have strengthened the suspicions against the older brother. Among other things, forensic evidence, said Deputy Chief Prosecutor Lars-Göran Wennerholm to Aftonbladet.

He continues:

– There are some results of the technical part of the investigation. I will not go into exactly what it is, but there is technical evidence to strengthen suspicions against the older brother.

The requirement: No more than two weeks

The detention hearing against the 34-year-old started just after 15:10 when the suspect was led in wearing Probation green clothes

He gave an overall impression, but looked tired and worn out when he stepped in with his attorney Inger Rönnbäck.

In early omhäktningsförhandlingen he stared mostly down in front of him, but also saw the presiding judge when he spoke.

When he heard what date the prosecutor wants him arrested for shaking his 34-year-old on the head – and defense motstred since the arrest.

– Should he remain in custody should not be more than two weeks, said the lawyer Inger Rönnbäck the law.

The district court then decided that the hearing should continue behind closed doors before leaving notice of 34-year-old should remain in detention.

At 17 o’clock finally came the decision – 34-year-old omhäktas.

– I’ll talk to my client tomorrow and decide on the custody decision should be appealed, said attorney Inger Rönnbäck and adds:

– He is not feeling good at all. He claims you he is innocent and it is a great strain to sit in custody.

Unusually decision

The period of detention is, in accordance with the prosecutor’s request, extended to 28 July. Normally the detention is extended by two weeks. Only in exceptional cases be granted to four weeks, according to the presiding judge. The reason is that there remains an extensive investigation including in the form of technical studies.

– It is a good decision that gives peace of mind. It is much investigative work that remains, says Lars-Göran Wennerholm.

Earlier on Tuesday released the younger brother, who had previously been detained.

The suspicions against him has weakened.

– There is no longer any need for him to be detained and I have therefore decided that he should be set free, says Lars-Göran Wennerholm.

The man is not taken off the investigation.

Can leave the country

– There has still been a relatively short time. The preliminary investigation against him is not disused yet, but the suspicion is not probable cause, and then he can not be arrested.

– I have not graduated suspicions against him, but it is too early to close the investigation, says Wennerholm.

The 31-year-old has not been coated with something utreseförbud. He is therefore free to leave the country.

– I argue in the same way as with the woman who was detained. Lithuania is a European country and we can get him there if we need to.

Just as lawyers have a released man covered with yppandeförbud.

– Yppandeförbudet applies to all who have been in interrogations or sat at the negotiating, says Lars-Göran Wennerholm.

Negotiation later in the day

So far, police and prosecutors have been very secretive about the investigation. The line keeps Lars-Göran Wennerholm onto.

– The brothers still denies crimes. The investigation conducted further intensive interrogations and technical investigations. But some details I can not comment.

The full autopsy report is not yet complete.

– I do not know when it will. I suspect that it may take said Wennerholm.

The two brothers deny the crimes, and has previously appealed the arrest of the Gota Court of Appeal. The Court of Appeal ruled, however, the detention order.

The 31-year-old’s lawyer Thomas Herb has been in contact with his client after the announcement that he will be released.

– It has been received in a positive way, says Thomas Herb Aftonbladet.

He does not know if the client will choose to return to Lithuania as the woman and wants otherwise not comment on the ongoing investigation with reference to yppandeförbudet.

left the country

A 34-year-old woman, who is married to one of the men, sat previously arrested for involvement in the case. She is suspected of protecting the criminal, but was released last week. The woman has left the country. The suspicions against her remains.

It was on the evening of 7 June as Lisa Holm would take the moped home to Skovde from his job at a coffee shop in Blomberg. But the 17-year-old never came home. A massive sökpådrag began. Five days later she was found dead.
