survey showed that 53 percent of Internet users considered that it would be “very difficult” to do without the net. Even if you include those who do not use the internet, 46 per cent of all adult Americans that it would be difficult to do without the net.
corresponding figure for TV was 35 percent. And support for television is decreasing. In 2006, 44 per cent think it would be very difficult to do without television.
Women were generally more likely than men to like the internet, as well as people with higher income and education, according to the survey.
