Although Skara Energi among Sweden’s lowest water win disappear still water to around one million per year.

An unnecessary expense that largely depends on old systems that have been difficult to locate small water leaks.

– It is something that most companies have problems and often have to dig large hole to find the leak, explains Martin.

trying new technology

the problem can, however, soon be a thing of the past and in cooperation with the company Widenco try Skara Energi to dig a new sensor systems.

by attaching a sensor cable on the line, and then at each joint fitted with an insulated connector, the hopes that it will be faster to find the leaks.

water supply in Linnégatan is the first in Sweden to test the system according to Jan Eriksson, Wideco, to locate a water leak within one meter on a line that stretches two kilometers.

– We have previously tried the system in different labs, but now we want to see the full feature in the field, he said.

Wideco has over 30 years of experience with leaks, but their focus has previously been on district heating.

– We got the idea a few years ago after a trade show and realized that there is also need for water.

wait for leakage

to conduct field test does not cost Skara Energi anything except the labor force and the new system will be in several years and waiting for a possible leak, but now seems to test have yielded results.

– We have begun to think in new ways and in the long term hopes that we are simple ways to be able to find any water leaks, says Martin.

Swedish technology to take over the global veterinary care – Business Week

With a unique and patented technology helps Swedish LifeAssays veterinarians for rapid and accurate diagnoses. Now it plans a rights issue to take their products out in a rapidly growing global market.

LifeAssays technology is based on research Lund University on how to detect an infection by measuring the amount of a certain protein in the blood. These measurements, also known as fast sinker measurements, is now a standard tool in healthcare. But by relying on magnetism to measure the results of the tests, LifeAssays distinguishes itself from other solutions.
“We measure magnetism, so instead of the test results are indicated by a color change so marked our response to a change in a magnetic field “says Anders Ingvarsson, president of LifeAssays.

LifeAssays® AB’s business developing, manufacturing and selling diagnostic systems based on its proprietary and patented technology platform, MagnetoImmunoAssay (MIA).
company delivers secure and robust systems for fast and reliable analysis in veterinary medicine.

the advantage of this solution is that you both can see the presence of an infection but also helps determine the amount of protein. This way you can quickly see how serious the infection is and even closer watch on a treatment able to reduce the inflammation. This without having to send samples to a laboratory. Anders Ingvarsson similar technique when taking rapid lowering of the health center rather than go to the hospital or send sample there.

LifeAssays was founded in 2000 with the focus to commercialize this technology to measure lower. First, the focus was on the human health, but the past five years has been decided to change direction, and today they are totally focused on the veterinary market.

“Human Side is a gigantic market but it is also huge in terms of the number of competitors and even more difficult when it comes to the regulatory requirements. This means that it takes longer to develop products. But in the veterinary side, it much easier for a small company take place while the market is growing very fast, “says Anders Ingvarsson.

Rights issue to support global expansion

According to Anders Ingvarsson valued global veterinary market for LifeAssays systems have grown to over four billion years in 2018. the major companies that dominate in human health has certainly solutions that could be used also in veterinary care, but these are often larger and more unwieldy than LifeAssays products and companies have not yet received the eye of potential.

Anders Ingvarsson explains that this means that LifeAssays now have a unique opportunity to establish itself in the rapidly growing veterinary markets in eg Asia and the United States.

“When we started look at China a few years ago, there were a few thousand clinics and when we were established there in the middle of last year, it had grown to perhaps three to four thousand clinics. When I was there in the fall so they were up in six thousand clinics, “says Anders Ingvarsson.

As part of this international expansion plans LifeAssays therefore a new issue. The money is to be recorded will be used primarily to establishing distribution organizations both to sell and educate customers in LifeAssays products. last year alone succeeded LifeAssays, thanks to interest from Asia, also increase sales by over 20 percent. with this initiative, believes Anders Ingvarsson that the company this year will take even a large and important step forward.

“it will be a good year and we will have a sharp increase in sales in both the Nordic region and Asia, we are confident,” says Anders Ingvarsson.

Believe me, you lost the battle when you were born – Aftonbladet

It is possible that you are reading this on a screen. Then it is almost inevitable that the text is framed by moving messages about the summer, line rental and affordable makeup brushes. The messages of course depends on where you and your processor has been lately. Fills your screen by advertising hemorrhoid cream and daring lingerie, there is no point to complain. Blame yourself.

But back to the point. “Almost inevitably,” I write. There is in fact simple software that blocks advertising. According to the latest reports using around 25 percent of Swedes such six months ago. In the world as a whole was estimated as 200 million use the ad blocker. They are quickly becoming more.

I have read me in a report, which funnily enough, begins: “We are pleased to publish the 2015 global report on the advertising block, in cooperation with Adobe” .

There are not really waterproof sanctuary from advertising.

it is written not so terribly much about this, because it threatens revenue for newspapers like this and , by extension, my salary. I shoot my words right now in the foot. Possibly in the head. But I guess you still have to know this elsewhere.

The fight is on. Advertising on advertising blocker. Newspapers to readers. German Picture releases no longer in readers with ad blocker on their website, if they are not in place pay for itself. British Guardian considering something similar.

I can not help but suspect that there is something existential in this technological battle creams. When it falls, a flashing banner on discounted kettle over the text I want to read, it is not just annoying. The fall of symbolic weight.

The epitome of what? I think the answer is life itself.

That’s how life is. Nothing must be kept in peace. Any attempt to distinguish one from the other, creating a protected zone, is bound to fail. Bills, neighbors, the weather, the declaration, customer service, the family, the Red Cross, the dog: Life is full of flashing banners that fall down in front of us, when we least want it. The advertising is just like anything else.

Do what you want with the blocker. But believe me, you’ve already lost the battle. You did when you were born.

Sincerely, in cooperation with Aftonbladet.
