Satya Nadella will likely be new Microsoft CEO - Computer Sweden

Microsoft’s board prepares in giving Nadella President’s job, according to Bloomberg data. Nadella is currently working as head of Microsoft’s cloud and enterprise group, and has long been one the of the top CEO candidates when it comes to replacing CEO Steve Ballmer, who in August announced that he will resign within a year.

The Board also plans to replace Bill Gates as chairman and instead appoint this position with board member John Thompson, according to Bloomberg. If Gates stops, it means that two of the software giant’s most influential people, will leave the company.

class=”paragraphIntro”> Microsoft has not yet confirmed that the company intends to make neither. The problem with replacing Ballmer or Gates is that no other top manager or employee has the same broad knowledge that includes the game console Xbox, cloud services like Azure, the Windows operating system, ERP system that Nav and Ax and development tools such as Visual Studio.

Those who doubt that Nadella becomes president has a good argument: he has no prior CEO experience, unlike rivals on as CEO Tony Bates, who previously led Skype and external candidates Alan Mulally at Ford, who renounced interest in January, with reference to his intention to continue at Ford.
