Yes to submarines and new JAS aircraft – New Technology

The Social Democrats and the Green Party agree. More submarines and JAS aircraft. Photo: TT

The Social Democrats and the Green Party is now in agreement on several defense. MP says yes to invest in more submarines and new JAS aircraft against that defense exports are tightened.

The agreement between the Social Democrats and the Green Party revealed today in DN and looks like this:

MP folds and joins the conclusions in defense preparation. It means that now supports more new JAS aircraft built.

The party has previously in defense preparation been opposed to investing in 70 new fighter aircraft model Jas 39 Gripen E, instead of 60 as the parliament said yes to. It has required more analysis and noted a risk that the new Jas system becomes a cuckoo which can erode other defense resources.

MP says also yes to invest in even a submarine.

MP is also in discussions in preparation reluctant to modernize a third submarine in Gotland class, so the Swedish submarine fleet in the future may consist of five submarines. But is said to be on the train.

The proposals were developed in defense preparation, which of course was pushed through by the Alliance together with S.

Instead, the MP through a tightening of defense exports, relative to non-democracies. According to the party’s website, this also “consequence delivery and consulting services.” Arms exports matter is prepared by a parliamentary commission of inquiry appointed by the alliance parties.

Social Democrat group leader Mikael Damberg says to DN:

– It is reasonable to Sweden goes ahead and tighten export rules for arms deliveries because we have had such problems in this area.

At the same time suggests the S and MP to the Defence Export Authority will be abolished, something that is likely to attract major debate in parliament than the other proposals.

It is also agreed that Sweden will not be a member of NATO. Instead, we want the security built from “increased Nordic cooperation, an active Sea policy, cooperation in the EU and a stronger United Nations,” the MP’s website.

S and MP also agree to a tough question. It now proposes to freeze the construction of the motorway to Stockholm bypass in May 2015 According to the MP’s spokesperson Åsa Romson create space for a pause for thought.

For the settlement between the two parties, as in the days commonly are about to form a new government, also belongs to the Social joins the Green Party and the Alliance deal on immigration policy. The latter means that there must be easier for foreigners to come to Sweden to work. In addition, MP accepts the agreement on pensions S previously done with the Alliance.

America’s super-secret space drones – Aftonbladet

In nearly two years, the United States military commissioned an unmanned mini version of the space shuttle patrol around the earth.

Day after day it spins around the planet.

But what the super secret rymddrönaren really doing up there is not known.

Rymddrönaren name is X-37th It looks pretty much like a space shuttle, but is only a quarter of the size and lacks space for astronauts.

And just like the space shuttle, it is built to withstand the re-entry into the atmosphere and land on earth again like an airplane after completed mission.

It was sent into space December 11, 2012 on top of a big Atlas rocket. As had already been up on a 225 days long mission two years earlier.

Longer than ferries

The longest journey with a full sized manned space shuttle lasted for 17 days and 15 hours. But the little rymddrönaren is therefore still up and running, almost two years later.

The reason is including photovoltaics.

– Although it is significantly longer than any other reusable spacecraft that is it is far below what most of America’s satellites are built to withstand years or even decades, said Joan Johnson-Freese, a professor the Navy War College in Newport, to the American space site Space.com.

Military Projects

Rymddrönaren is a purely military project that has taken on since the American space agency Nasa trashed the space shuttle in 2011.

X-37: s existence is well known and it got new publicity the recently passed 600 days in space.

In contrast, very little is known about what it is really doing up there. Initially continued development of the craft without much hush hush. “A platform to test new technologies,” it said then.

But 2009 turned the whole project suddenly classified. The secrecy was complete.

General William Sheldon in the American Air Force said last summer that “Space forces are fundamental for every military operation, from humanitarian operations to armed intervention. Satellites must continuously deployed in space telecommunications, missile warning, navigation systems, space surveillance, and weather services. “

” Works well “

However, he did not answer detailed questions about rymddrönaren.

– I can give you my standard answer about the X-37, he said he Space.com.

– X-37 works fine. I can not tell you what it does but it works fine.

The school’s owner took out miljonvinst – Aftonbladet

The owners of Kristina school in Täby, Foped AB, turned a profit and put aside millions of dollars.

At the same time, there was no food, books and qualified teachers.

– Noah got nothing at the school, said parent Petra Lundell to the local newspaper Mitti.

Three years ago, the Schools Inspectorate to Kristinaskolan lacked the most part. In a 17-page report, the Authority found that the teacher was unauthorized, teaching materials were below the standard level, it was unclear who was headmaster and even the pupils who attended the school, writes Mitti.

Got to bring own food

Noah Lundell was at that time one of the students. Because he has a disability, he needs extra support in class. Although he promised extra teacher, he got none. And instead of providing adequate educational facility forced the teachers to make their own by fling balls and pipe cleaners.

– If I had anything to compare with, he never got to go there as long as he did. Where Noah goes today have computers, trained staff and all possible technical means, said Petra Lundell to Mitti.

Because the son is allergic called her school to send him food for his lunch because the school would save. Print paper used in teaching, the parents send their children.

Gone with miljonvinst

Two years ago, a new inspection of the Schools Inspectorate. In the subsequent report revealed that the deficiencies had been largely resolved. But complaints against the school continues to come in, and as recently as last spring action was “seriously flawed”. Foped AB who until last spring was Kristinaskolan, or Special Educational forums that the company is called, has joined miljonvinst during ownership. The company has a sole shareholder Ove Åstrand, 76, his wife, Berit Åstrand, 74, has served on the school board and also served as rector.
Since 2006, one fifth of net sales, a total of 31 million, has gone to dividends and group contributions.

“Unbelievable”

When the company was sold in March this year, there were SEK 24 million at the box office, through a share dividend has the sole shareholder Ove Åstrand lift 8 million from there, writes Mitti.

The newspaper writes that the revenues come from local school vouchers, which is higher for students with special needs. Four years ago, the company had sales totaling SEK 20.7 million that has come through the payment of school fees. The following year, 2011, a dividend of 10.4 million.

The economist Peter Malmqvist says to Mitti that it is “quite incredible that it is possible to amass as much money by driving a single school” .

– National Company has had a profitability that is far superior to the best listed companies. To me it is inconceivable that it is possible to achieve this over the profitability of the taxpayer’s expense, says Peter Malmqvist to Mitti.

Advanced radar to detect small boats – New Technology

RIB boats are difficult to detect on radar. Modern Dopperradar a better position to see the boats than other radar techniques. Then small rubber boat at the Estonia wreck site discovered. Photo: Dorset Media Service / Alamy, TT

Finnish radar may have difficulty detecting small rubber boat at the Estonia wreck site. But the technology to be able to do it is on the way.

According to the author Anders Jallai before it dives the wreck of the Estonia in the Baltic Sea, despite the rules on gravfrid.

In order to ensure that no violations made by Estonia uses Finnish coast guard monitoring via radar . The nearest radar station located in Finnish Utö, 4, 5 mil from the wreck site.

Jallai and diving experts, however, argue that sport divers using less inflatables and RIB, which is hard on the radar, may escape detection.

In order not to be seen on radar, they can put out buoys on the surface above the wreck, divers unload, and quickly disappear from the protected sea area – to later come back and retrieve them.

Sami Järvenpää manage Åbodistriktet in Finland Coast suggest that the technique is very unlikely:

– At least no one would wise diver doing so, my of nowhere, without a support vessel, and with a diving depth of 70-80 meters.

Asked if the coast guard facilities to detect RIB answers Järvenpää that he does not want to reveal anything about the country’s radar capability.

– Our radarstationers capacity is sensitive information, he says.

According to sources within the Swedish Coast Guard, it is a matter of weather. In clear and fine weather without wind radar stations can detect RIB – but not at the rough seas and rain. This clears the small rubber vessels radar reflective surface in the radar reflections from the waves, known as graffiti.

However, better surveillance technology is heading, according to Staffan Gadd and sensor researchers at FOI, Swedish Defence Research Agency, Linköping.

– With the help of more advanced radar technology would be able to take care of and find these little boats with low signatures, he said.

There is also difficult. The reflecting surface of a RIB is approximately one square meter, it is as small as a man’s, according to Gadd.

In order to distinguish small boats from the radar screen as the waves gives, the researchers are working with the Doppler technique, which measures the speed of the radar reflectors.

– It is only with very modern Doppler radar that can measure very small differences in speed, as it is possible, he says.

Both in South Africa and the United States, research is in the art. The authorities want to be notably improved opportunities for search and rescue and additionally quickly detect ships with refugees and small boats that pirates typically use.

From radar stations on land, it is still difficult to look out over sea areas far away. Attempts are now being made, particularly in a military context, to equip unmanned plane, with the technology. They can either fly reconnaissance or hang over and monitor marine areas.

Radar Station Finnish island is a the closest Estonia:

Kristianstad.

Restaurateur, disability, property owners and police. The municipality invited various stakeholders to discuss how future beer gardens will look.

– It will not be optimal for some, but good enough for everyone, says Charlotte Lindstrom, Director of Administration for C4 technology.

About 60 people attended the workshop at the Town Hall. For the first time met various groups -Like differently takes place in the city – to talk about how Kristianstad beer gardens will look.

How it will be, no one can say at present. Right now it’s about to get the discussion going.

– It is important that someone is not stepping on someone else. Everyone has to compromise in order to make this work, says Peo Fredholm.

– The work that awaits will be a real challenge, says Pierre Mansson (FP).

New Law

The background to the talks is a new law that is expected to enter into force on 1 January next year.

Lack of accessibility for persons with disabilities should be treated with discrimination. Another reason for the discussion is that the number of applications for permits for open areas become more and more in recent years.

– There is a great need for uniformity around the rules for them. We want it to be as clear and fair to all, says Agneta Persson, Head public space, C4 technology.

– Everyone’s viewpoints will then result in a surface that then go out on a consultation.

When are the new rules clear?

– Our absolute goal is that the new guidelines be launched around April.

The decision will first be anchored to the technical committee before it becomes a reality.

The goal is also to make it possible to apply for permission to hold outside terrace open year round.

– We have noticed a huge demand for it. And it would have been nice to sit outside now with blankets and gas heaters, says Agneta Persson.

A total of seven Swedes now suspects.

But the multi-million dollar booty has still not been found.

On March 29, hit four masked and heavily armed robbers to the goldsmith shop Sheik Enterprises in the district of Greenland in the Oslo.

Armed with AK-47 fired at least two shots.

People fled in panic and inside the store were stands apart. The robbery was over in minutes.

The robbers came away with goods to the value of 6-7 million NOK – money that is still missing.

Seven Swedes arrested

Early suspected robbers have links to Sweden.

They fled in a Swedish registered car and the crowbar used to access the gold could be traced to the Swedish department store chain Jula. Even the robbers red gloves and bags were traced to Jula stores.

After the Norwegian police started a collaboration with the Swedish National Criminal Police could five Swedish citizens seized in a raid in Sweden three weeks after the coup.

Another two people sitting arrested on suspicion of complicity in the robbery.

Links with organized crime

Now, two of the suspected robbers, one 19 year old and a 22-year-old, recognized interference, writes the Norwegian newspaper VG.

– This research should began with the retrieval of large amounts of telecommunication data in the field. We succeeded in using this material identifying current phone number that can be linked to the robbers, says Asmund Riegels at the police’s organized crime to the newspaper.

According to the Norwegian police have suspected the men linked to organized crime in Stockholm .

Arrested – with help from the Swedish police

They used several cars to escape to Sweden. One of the vehicles was later found burnt out.

According to the VG task should police technicians have found fingerprints and hairs in the car that could be linked to one or more of the suspected men through DNA matching.

– We have received support from the Swedish police who gave us information about the environments in Sweden and helped us with the research. It has enabled us to seize those sitting in custody today, says Ringels.

The trial is believed to be carried out in winter, according to police.

Räkögon behind cancer Camera – Aftonbladet

Now, doctors can detect cancer with a camera.

Thanks räkögon.

– We combine bönsyrseräkans millions of years of evolution with our relatively few years of work with the technology, says Professor Justin Marshall at the University of Queensland.

Bönsyrseräkan is only between 10-30 inches long, but its impact on the future of cancer care can be enormous.

shrimp color vision is the most advanced that scientists know. They have at least ten different types of light-sensitive cells, each sensitive to a particular wavelength region, according to the National Encyclopedia.

the species extremely sophisticated eyes which makes that they can actually see the cancer tissue, writes the University of Queensland on its website.

Now, they have managed to create a camera using räkögonen that can detect cancer, something DN first wrote about.

– The camera we have developed in cooperation with American and British scientists films and can provide immediate feedback for cancer detection and monitoring activity in vulnerable neurons, says Professor Justin Marshall of the University.

– It converts invisible information to colors that our visual system is comfortable with.

Bönsyrseräkan see Cancer thanks to the look-polarized light and cancer tissue reflects the different compared to healthy tissue. The technology is used in part today but researchers new advances reduce the need for surgeries and biopsies, according to Justin Marshall.

And theoretically they would eventually be able to develop the technology for a mobile app so that people can explore themselves , according to the professor.

One dead after shootings in Malmo – Aftonbladet

Police received the alarm about gunfire at Dalaplan in Malmö.

In a real estate found a badly injured man – who now died of their injuries.

A larger police presence is working with the case.

The first alarm calls about gunfire on Dalslandsgatan came to the police at 16:12.

– We get data that you have heard what they perceive to be shot at the address, says Maya Forstenius, spokesman at the Malmö Police.

Found Dying

Several police patrols were sent to the scene. In a bit up in the property found a severely injured 44-year-old man.

– We get there and anträffar a half-open door. A person is shot inside, said Detective JB Cederholm said.

The number of shots fired is unclear but the man must be under police have been hit by more than one shot. The man was missing, police said pulse when he was found and was taken by ambulance to hospital where he was found deceased.

Police have no information on any possible motive for the shooting. 44-year-old should not have been known by the police to any great extent in the past and there should not be any connection to gang crime. The man was himself the proprietor of the apartment where he was found dead.

No suspects apprehended

The police knocked on Sunday now door in the area to find out if anyone made any observations or witnessing event. A technical survey has also been conducted at the site.

– We do not know what caused this fatal shooting was the shooter or have been. We keep on working on the site with the county Crimea and a responsible investigator who collects information, says Mats Thimgren, inner officers at Malmö police.

Police said that no person is arrested for murder.

The model that will save the royal warship Vasa – New Technology

The work of developing a new jacking Vasa is in full swing. A full scale model of a part of the hull is now being tested at KTH.

A full scale model of a portion of the hull of the Vasa is used for load testing at KTH.

A full scale model of a portion of the hull is used for load testing at KTH. The model, which is four meters by four meters and a half feet thick, is a key part of efforts to develop a new jacking the Vasa.

Ivon Hassel from Uppsala University leads the test work to develop a new jacking to Vaasa.

Vasa should be left to posterity a thousand years to. It is the goal of everyone who works with the ship. But the cradle of steel as national treasure rests in not providing the necessary support. This leads to the Vasa changes its shape.

– In the long run you risk rupture. Creep estimates of the wood must be curbed now. Therefore, we must find out how the wood and all joints behave, says Anders Ahlgren, an engineer at the Vasa Museum.

In a research project has a 3D model of the ship created where simulations using the finite element method can be run.

In order to verify that it reflects reality built carpenters on museum in the spring by a 10 ton heavy full-scale model of a portion of the hull on the lower gun deck. Two weeks ago the model was transported to the lab at the School of Electrical Engineering at KTH.

Here now the wood twisted, bent and pried the big load – all to mimic the forces of the ship’s own weight puts national treasure for.

When new technology comes to visit, the tests with horizontally acting loads just started. Ivon Hassel, researchers at Uppsala University, the test manager. Slowly she increased the load from 0 to 15 kN. The LCD will show graphs showing how the wood is moving in different parts of the model.

– I do not want to add on additional load. We want the model to be used for many different tests to come, she says.

In two years, the project will be completed and the mechanical properties of the Vasa’s wood and timber structure to be mapped. The aim is that before then get going with the work to design and construct the new rudder.

Relatives requires a forensic examination of the Estonia. – Aftonbladet

Relatives requires a forensic examination of the Estonia.

And welcome a salvage.

– We want to know why the Estonia sank, and for many, it would be important to bury their relatives, says Lennart Berglund, president of kin organization SEA.

Relatives of the victims still want to Estonia to be salvaged.

– While we realize that it is complicated. However, we require that you should carry out a technical examination of the boat and we also believe that the authorities eventually realizes is necessary, says Lennart Berglund, President of SEA, the Foundation Estonia victims, with about 300 members.

Can simplify survey

Images of the wreckage indicates that it has turned and is now with the bottom upwards. It, along with new technologies, can facilitate an examination of the hull and provide answers to why the boat sank, according to Lennart Berglund.

Although the morning is exactly 20 years since the accident, he believes that it is entirely possible to get the truth behind the crash:

– DC3 that was shot down in the Baltic had to be a solution for 50 years. Hopefully it does not have to take as much time with Estonia.

“Must do what is right”

According to coroner’s identification of bodies after 20 years no problem.

– I think it would mean a lot, especially for those who lost their children to bury them. But in view of the grave on earth, you have to do what is right and we have nothing to say.

Estonia become attractive to rogue diver is something SEA hope will influence their decisions.

Lennart Berglund lost her in-laws in Estonia.

Like many other families, he has given much thought to why they canceled the rescue efforts.

“Why so scared?”

– to arrive at what really happened is important for the next generation. We are not impressed by the authorities’ management and believe that the Maritime Administration had a very big influence. Today they know for sure what happened but someone high up must have said this should not be touched. Why have otherwise been so afraid of what he could find down there?

Outgoing Defense Minister Karin Enstrom responsible could not be reached for comment.

Moisture Damaged facades tried in the highest court – New Technology

The houses are built with enstegstätade plastered facades without an air gap, and all have exhibited elevated humidity. Now taken the matter to the Supreme Court.

As early as the 1980s warned of the risk of moisture damage in enstegstätade stucco facades. It points out homeowners in Svedala, which has driven the design type to the Supreme Court. This target will be tested in February.

Enstegstätade, plaster facades on träregelvägg has caused lots of moisture damage in new houses. Construct, which lacks an air gap and means plaster applied directly to the insulation, has proved to be very sensitive to moisture penetration. Even small cracks in the plaster can lead to moisture coming in, and once inside the wall can not be discharged without cause rot and mold damage.

Some 30 houses in Skåne Svedala built with the type of construction between 1999 and 2003 Since high humidity were detected in walls have homeowners pursued a lawsuit against the construction company Myresjöhus to persuade the company to replace the facades with a two-step approach with an air gap.

Court of Appeal chose not to give assent to the Homeowners’ claim based on the argument that the construction industry was not aware that the design was risky at the time when the houses in Svedala was built.

But homeowners out in a submission to the Supreme Court that it is already in the 1980s, there were warnings about the risk of rain penetration in the construction.

The information comes from the scripture Puts on additional insulation of Mr Bengt Andersson, Lund University. It shows that the detailed design at the window hole and the like must concentrate on rain not to be led into the outer wall. “At the inappropriate design, relatively large amounts of moisture to get into in a short time,” writes Mr Andersson. And the drying takes a long time, between one and four years, depending on the vapor-tight surface layer is on the inside wall.

Homeowners also points out that risks of construction had been observed in North America long before Svedala built, something that even New Technology describing.

As evidence also refers homeowners to Lars-Olof Nilsson, Professor of Building Materials, Lund University, who in a submission to the court finds that the structure has a particularly high risk from a moisture standpoint.

As it is well known that water can enter behind brick masonry and wood paneling, and that consequently, they must be provided with a draining air gap on the inside, he can not see how you could miss that it can enter the water behind a thin plaster.

Myresjöhus, for his part, pointed out in a submission to the Supreme Court that the company can not be blamed for not understanding that the construction would be contrary to the basic construction engineering principles when Boverket, Sitac, the rest of the construction industry, technical consultants and researchers not Nor did it.

The company also claims that the wall construction at the time of conduct neither violated National Board of Housing, the national building regulations or the then Planning and Building Act.

The main hearing is held in the Supreme Court on 10 and 11 February. They expected about three weeks later. The judgment can not be appealed.

Star chef throws out his stove – bet on fire – New Technology

Celebrity chef Mathias Dahlgren trashed the stove when the kitchen was renovated last summer. New Technology has visited the most modern restaurant kitchen.

(Updated) – I want more flexibility and choice. Instead of being tied to a stove I pick up the plug-in products that are best suited for the raw materials we work with, says Mathias Dahlgren, one of the country’s top chefs.

När New Technology looks into the newly renovated kitchen in restaurant dining in Stockholm so are two such plug-in products connected to the workbench. At one end a griddle, in the other an induction plate. In between sits the new Spanish Jospergrillen, a träkolseldad barbecue in ugnsformat.

– Fire is the original source of energy, and nothing beats the living fire out a taste perspective, says Mathias Dahlgren and opens the oven door.

But the most interesting technology nerd is probably the fan above the grill. Glowing charcoal indoors places high demands on ventilation, and Mathias Dahlgren has chosen an advanced water-based system, the first to be installed in Sweden.

It is enough that he is approaching the grill to motion detectors to alert the controller that now we will have soon cooking. A heat sensor detects when the temperature at the fan cover exceeds about 30 degrees. Then, the small nozzles to spread a fine mist that acts as a filter. Fat particles, soot and smoke trapped by water vapor and discharged into drains.

Just like before the renovation, the kitchen seven furnaces. They are used for everything from drying and night face-to sous vide, which means the food is vacuum packed and heated at carefully controlled temperatures. Mathias Dahlgren has also retained its two “freeze-blasters” cabinet where food can quickly cool down.

He tells me that he is satisfied with her new kitchen, which he sees as the most modern.

– But the technology is only responsible for 25 percent of the change. The rest is a new approach, he says.

One of the new grips is that guests are welcomed into the kitchen in a different way than before.

– Historically, restaurant guests wanted to enjoy the food without having to be disturbed by the clatter from the kitchen. Now we want to have more interactivity, and the chef welcomes guests in the door and take them into the kitchen to eat the first taste bitten there.

Wrong test behind battery failure – New Technology

The problem with the batteries in the aircraft Dreamliner was incorrect testing methods, claiming Japanese investigators.

Overheated Lithium-ion batteries in Boeing aircraft model 787 Dreamliner led to all planes were standing on the ground for three months while the cause was investigated.

Most aircraft of the model had Japanese airline All Nippon Airways.

After some modifications to the flight ban was lifted, but the Japanese Transport Security Authority JTSB continued investigation to get to the root of the cause to the problem.

In a report released today claims JTSB that have not yet found the cause of the problem. However, it is believed that during the development of the batteries the engineers underestimated the risk of a short circuit in one cell can spread to other cells because the equipment is not grounded.

tests during development simulated insufficient conditions prevailing on board an aircraft, the report argues.

Boeing defends itself by tests was made entirely in accordance with prevailing regulations. These rules apply even today.

Faulty sensor emptied entire mountain lake – New Technology

Nordlys.no shows how Gálggojávri looked on Friday after a faulty sensor in a floodgate emptied the entire lake. Photo: nordlys.no

The sensor in the dammed lake Gálggojávri in Norway gave the rash of high water and opened the floodgate. But the sensor was wrong and caused rather an entire mountain lake was emptied of water.

Norwegian newspaper Nordlys tells of the herders at Gálggojávri close Treriksröset, who discovered that the water was gone Friday.

– This is environmental crime, says herders includes SEK and Marja Bonfire to Nordlys.

They say that the lake must have been emptied overnight, because the water was still there on Thursday .

The lake was dammed in the 70s and regulated by Troms force. According to the power company because the emptying of a faulty sensor. The newspaper says that the North 24 sensor returned a verdict of elevated water levels in the magazine and therefore opened the door. However, the sensor proved wrong and therefore emptied the water.

Now the door closed and the sensor was replaced on Tuesday. An additional sensor also installed and connected to another system to prevent a similar event to arise again.

Troms force state that the water will rise again, but how long it might take is unclear.

herders near the lake’s water needs for drinking water to themselves and the reindeer. They have contacted a lawyer who is considering signing emptying as environmental crime. Troms Kraft has reported the incident to the Norwegian authorities.

The Swedish company Jämtkraft owns a third of Troms Troms Kraft subsidiary kraftforsyning and Energy. Kristina Andersson, Head of Communications at Jämtkraft, says that the company does not feel directly affected by the vacation of the mountain lake in Norway.

– But indirectly makes we will. As shareholders, we feel concerned and can only regret the incident. But we have the utmost confidence that they will handle this in the best way, she says to new technologies.

Jämtkraft has 17 hydroelectric plants. An emptying of mistakes would not be able to occur at their ponds, assesses Kristina Andersson.

– We have our plants much more in the surrounding area , so it looks much better what happens. The case in Norway was very special because the plant is located high up on the mountain with no roads, she said.

Yes, the cameras have been much better. But the question is not entirely straightforward. It notes the photographer Lisa Bettany, who is also co-founder of the company behind Camera +, a fotoapp for advanced Iphone Tin Spirit.

She has tested all eight iPhone models except 5C side by side.

In general, the cameras have gotten much better. She specifically points out the characteristics in low light conditions, which is much better in iPhone 6 compared with 5S.

However, skin tones are not always equal well with the latest camera which can sometimes give a flatter appearance.

“All we need now is adjustable aperture,” writes Lisa Bettany .

Small and light electric vehicles have difficulty coping with crash tests made under the Euro NCAP. The occupants at risk of severe damage if they survive at all.

But with strong materials and active safety, security can be increased significantly. It shows Visio.M research, led by the Technical University of Munich and with the participation of companies like BMW, Daimler, Autoliv, Continental, Siemens and many more.

Only by reinforcing the cockpit with a frame made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic, and building deformation of aluminum, is a small electric vehicle with a maximum weight of 400 kg significantly safer for the occupants.

Till this added active safety with the help of radar and camera sensors. The system constantly keeps an eye on the traffic dangerous situations that may occur around the car. The information may be given to the driver in the cautionary purpose so that it can avoid the situation.

But the situation becomes critical for the system switches to actively take several measures to mitigate the effects of a collision.

Examples of these are a type of airbags in the bumper and the inside of the body panels. Fraction before a crash, regardless of direction, the airbags inflate and push out the body so that it has greater energy-absorbing ability.

The occupants will pulled harder on to their chairs. In the event of a side impact, the seat which is most exposed to be pushed towards the center. To prevent collision with medpassageraren triggered an airbag between the cracks. The acceleration at the lateral displacement reduces the effect of the collision.

Research Vision.M runs for 2.5 years and has a budget of 10 EUR 8 million.

Estonia: Radar miss wreckers – New Technology

Then went to Estonia disaster (you can find more graphic in the right column). Graphics: Jonas Askergren

M / S Estonia today: Sweden has no daily coverage of the wreck site, Germany reiterates that it does not want to sign gravfrid agreement – and sport divers reported stealing things from the wreck.

20 years after Sweden’s biggest casualty of modern times, the night of 28 September 1994, the rest in silence Estonia on the Baltic seabed.

It is in any case the official version.

But the question is what is really happening on the wreck site. Author Anders Jallai state that in fact sport divers made about 30 dives in Estonia, and several of them have picked themselves with objects as souvenirs. Jallai refers to divers he has spoken with. Among other things, he says that a Swedish participated in a German diving expedition.

At the same time protected the wreck of gravfrid rules several Baltic nations signed.

Over the years, several high-profile dives took place in Estonia.

1995, hours before the Swedish gravfrid Act came into force, appeared Swede Peter Barasinski down in an attempt to salvage his deceased wife Caritas body. It was done in collaboration with the German journalist Jutta Rabe, who later arranged dykexpeditioner years 2000 and 2001.

Sweden currently has no daily monitoring of the vessel. Sea region is not even an issue of the Swedish Coast Guard database.

Instead of guarding the tomb of earth mostly a Finnish responsibility. The Coast Guard is the military in Finland daily via radar monitors dykförbudet.

– But we get indications that there is some form of activity, then Swedish and Finnish coast guard air interact. We have daily co. When necessary, we also go there by ship. Both the Swedish and Finnish authorities are able to document what is going on but our ability to intervene directly is limited, says Dan Thorell, Head of Department within the Coast Guard.

Estonia is about 80 meters deep, in a lerbädd on the Finnish continental shelf between Utö Finnish and Estonian island of Hiiumaa, outside the Gulf – at international, free water.

The Swedish Act on gravfrid, created in 1995, gives only Swedish authorities to take action against its own citizens. The same applies to Finland and Estonia, and Latvia, Lithuania, Denmark, Poland – and the UK, which over the years have ratified the Convention.

The UK of – that have no Baltic Coasts – ratified the agreement, aroused amazement 2005, and two Britons were on board, one of whom died.

If new dives occurred in Estonia since 2001, they have done so, in secret. Without detection by the authorities.

One explanation may be that scuba divers often use the RIB that are not visible in the Finnish radar, because they disappear into the general “vågklustret” according to Anders Jallai and dykexperten Jan Jacobsson, CEO of Subsea diving service company OPD. The boats drop of divers, leaving a buoy in the water and pick them up later.

Sami Järvenpää, Director of the Finnish military coast guard western disktrikt in Turku, said Ny Teknik that there has been dykincidenter then “Rabe-case.”

“We have registered the last incidents from the Estonia wreck site 2000-2001, “he wrote in the email. Finland claims to have full control.

“Of course, we observe the place all the time, check if someone is there (why and who), and we will inform the country that citizens are coming from, “says Sami Järvenpää.

Lars-Erik Langman, Swedish Coast Guard Chief of Staff for the North East region closest to the crash site, was also not aware of any violations gravfrid since 2001.

– Finland’s answer to the question of the violation at the wreckage consistent with my picture after checking diaries at the command center and had a conversation with our flight operations, he says.

852 people traveled with the ship perished. Of the 552 Swedes survived 51, 40 were found dead, while 461 are missing.

government decided in 1996 to cover over Estonia with concrete, stone and sand. On 19 May the same year began the Norwegian ship Tertnes to dump 10,000 tons of stone at the crash site. Although large quantities of sand (approximately 400 000 cubic meters) must have been poured out. But the work was stopped abruptly by the government on June 19. Not only the massive popular protests played a role in the decision. It happened things on the seabed.

Jan Laue, a German professor who worked on behalf of the so-called German expert group, noted in 2000 a large change in the position of the wreck over the sinking. The bow was now ten feet deeper than the stern. It started over the coverage likely caused landslides bottom.

In what state is the wreck today – after 20 years in the brackish Baltic Sea water – is unclear. The Administration has not done any testing, says Daniel Lindblad, press officer for the agency.

According to the International Commission of Inquiry JAIC (The Joint Accident Investigation Commission ) were attributed to the bow visor was torn off in the hard weather, car ramp opened and lots of water flowed in through car / cargo deck.

Estonia was built by the German shipyard Meyer in Papenburg shipyard in 1980 was named as the only party that had any responsibility in the sinking. But company representatives questioned early in the official accident description, and appointed its own German experts.

Despite several attempts by the Swedish side, Germany has so far not wanted to write on gravfrid Convention. German foreign ministry said last week, journalists at German state NDR (Norddeutscher Rundfunk) that it does not currently harbor any plans of signing.

The Federal Government believes, experience new technologies, it is the UN Maritime Organization, IMO, something to settle a protection agreement. In addition, we believe that a ratification “would hamper future investigations of the cause of accident, because gravfrid agreement does not contain exceptions for investigations.”

The the Paris process, where more than 1,300 families of the deceased sued the French classification society Bureau Veritas, Meyer shipyard and the Swedish Maritime Administration in 1996 as jointly liable for the M / S Estonia, has stalled.

Bertil Calamnius, as in the days coming out of the book what happened to Estonia ?, and Lennart Berglund are two of the families. Both have long fought for a new accident investigation – and they have not given up.

One of the survivors, S-parliamentarian Kent Härstedt , has recently asked the Parliamentary Research Service to investigate which factors dykförbudet not apply.

Under the law, exceptions may be made for “activities intends to cover or protect the wreck or to prevent pollution of the marine environment. “

From the wreckage removed Finnish authorities in 1996 a total of 230 -250 cubic meters of various oils, according to Lars Langman. All tanks were not empty, but the Coast Guard has so far not received any indication of leaks.

Swedish governments, which manage gravfrid Convention says However, ever-no to an underwater inspection of the wreckage.

Satellite Aeiron company will offer the tracking of aircraft throughout the world, for free. It will make it easier to find missing aircraft accidents.

Today, a large part of airspace outside radar stations reach, and many aircraft are hard to track – especially if something goes wrong. Aireon, a subsidiary which operates the Iridium communication satellites, will offer a service that can track aircraft anywhere. And it will be free for rescue organizations. The company describes itself as a reaction to the Malaysia Airlines MH370′s disappearance.

ADS-B Automatic Dependent Surveillance brodcast, is a system for tracking aircraft where the aircraft determines its position using GPS and then transmits the information. The signal can be received by ground stations or other aircraft. According Aeiron it can provide coverage to about 10 percent of Earth’s surface.

With its own service “Aireon ALERT”, Aircraft location and emergency Response tracking, coverage should be 100 percent. It builds on the company sends up receivers for ADS-B with the 66 communication satellites Iridium plans to send up into low orbit between 2015 and 2017th

Sweden is the world leader in industrial construction – New Technology

Bathroom manufacturer party is not alone in using industrial methods in the construction industry. But so far built most houses with traditional methods in place.

Sweden is the world leader in industrial construction

Sweden is the world leader in industrial construction

     Lars Stehn

Industrial construction has the potential to reduce costs, short construction times and increase the quality of the built environment. Yet it is only between 20 and 40 percent of housing that are made with elements of industrial methods, according to an assessment by the LTU. The rest of the construction is done with traditional methods, on the site of the new house.

Real Manufacturers stand out, however. This is where the experts that 80-90 percent of the construction is done using industrial methods.

Lars Stehn, a professor at Luleå University, sees three reasons for to industrial construction has not had an impact on the broader front: that the Swedish construction market is too small, that clients are unaware of the requirements that they can ask for drive development, and that the dominant companies are too high and thus finds it difficult to control the about.

– The company is entirely industrialized is medium. For the major is too difficult, says Lars Stehn.

Jerker Lessing, a doctoral student at Lund University and a consultant on Tyréns, think construction industry’s tradition of orienting themselves around the project also plays a big role.

– A project is unique in its design, the technical solutions chosen is in large parts unique to the building, the team that draws put together unique to the project and team that will build the house are also added together unique. Overall, there will be many levels of uniqueness, it has made industrial development difficult.

Nevertheless, several initiatives were taken to increase the degree of industrialization in the construction industry in recent years. The most spectacular venture accounted for NCC, which built a factory in Hallstahammar to deliver ready-made elements to the construction sites. The floors would be equipped with parquet flooring and walls with wallpaper. But the effort was thwarted, and the factory was closed in spring 2008.

Since then, some companies, such as Peab, Skanska, continued to invest in prefabrication in varying degrees in the factory, while, for example, JM has tried to take control of work processes by issuing standardized guidelines for various operations.

A few companies, such as timber producers Lindbäcks Construction and Moelven ByggModul, has managed to combine both prefabrication factory and standardized work processes.

Lars Stehn believes that it is primarily the clients that need to change the setting of industrial construction will have a greater impact in Sweden. If they realize that they can save money in reduced maintenance in the future by encouraging a move towards quality assured mass production, he believes that a major change would occur.

Jerker Lessing believes that construction companies must focus their attention overseas to gain access to larger markets.

– There is a very high potential to exploit the advantage we have in Sweden now. We have invested a lot in research and development and has a wide knowledge advantage, he says.

In the current state, Sweden is the country that, along with Japan, the most advanced industrial construction.

– In Japan, it is basically just small houses manufactured by industrial methods. So the more the housing market, we have made more progress in Sweden. And we have come a long way in our view to look at manufacturing as an industrial production system that has to live over time. There, I mean that we are leading in the world, says Jerker Lessing.
