Tax reduction may be possible for individuals selling solar electricity - Byggahus.se

Anna-Karin Hat want to introduce a payment model with net metering for solar Swedish owners, despite the fact that an investigation has recently ruled that it is not compatible with the EU VAT rules. Net charge means that individuals with photovoltaic systems will be able to sell surplus electricity and then offsetting this against electricity purchased from the grid when it produced a deficit, and that they will not have to pay energy tax and VAT on electricity that they sell.

The report can be read to investigators Rolf Bohlin believes that a net debit should not be introduced because it is not compatible with the VAT Directive. Then he lists still two proposals because it was there that the investigation would include. One proposal is an offsetting tax proposal and the other is a deduction model.

Here writes Rolf Bohlin regarding the new proposed tax reduction, where the producer rather than to offset electricity can deduct it on a maximum of about 6,000 per year: “According to the investigation assessment, however, a net debit does not comply with EU rules on VAT. commission therefore believes that such a system should not be introduced. Instead, the Commission proposes that producers of renewable electricity will get a tax reduction of about the same amount that the producer would earn a net debit . “

Anna-Karin Hatt blogged positively about both payment models after receiving the investigation, but also mentions the problem of the EU. She writes that both proposals now out for consultation and that the goal for her and the Centre Party is to be able to present a bill as early as next spring, with the hope to be on summer 2014.
