Asian technology giants increases utensil temperature - Daily Swedish

The most surprising combination in the technology sector this week was Samsung, which demonstrated a new computer plate making use of two operating systems, Microsoft’s Windows 8 and Google’s Android.

It enables the computer, Ativ Q, both can run standard Windows software and apps for Android. Moreover, it is possible to directly bring files between the two systems.

The computer itself can be combined in a variety of ways, for example, want to have it as a regular computer plate and just use the screen or bend the screen so you can access the keyboard.

Samsung’s launch will just a few weeks after the Taiwanese Asus revealed a similar product that also can switch between Android and Windows.

issue being discussed here is how Samsung’s commitment to double the system should be interpreted. The company has gained a strong position using Android in both smartphones and tablet computers. Android is also by far the largest system, followed by Apple.

However, Microsoft has been difficult to boost its focus on tablet computers, which may use different versions of Windows. Apparently, Samsung is now trying to turn to the consumers who are willing to use their usual Windows programs sometimes and then running in PC mode, but who prefer Android when to use the product as a Tablet.

The new computer plate was launched in conjunction with a huge event that Samsung held in London. The marketing was as usual extensive and the company is now making every effort to consolidate its position in relation to Apple while Samsung tries to keep smaller competitors out.

Concerns that competitors will snatch up has accelerated after it been reports that the latest version of Samsung’s smart phone, the Galaxy S4, has not sold as well as expected. It may be due to Chinese competitors like Huawei is constantly coming up with new products in performance approaching Samsung increasingly while trying to compete on price.

An example of this came at the beginning of the week, when Huawei showed off its new smart phone Ascend P6. It has a screen of 4.7 inches and according to Huawei to be the world’s thinnest smart phone, with a thickness of 6.18 millimeters.

Samsung is the world’s largest manufacturer of both standard phones and smartphones. Huawei has a sixth and fourth respectively in those markets.
