Should researching on a brand new area.

municipality has decided to give money to two researchers at Campus Norrköping.

Norrköping Fund for Research and Development has earmarked 20 million crowns for many years to be distributed to various projects. This year the fund was launched for the second time. 26 applications were received – and one of these applications proved särksilt interesting for the local council.

– We have a project that stands out a little extra, said Mayor Lars Stjernkvist (S) before he announced who would be awarded money, in the Town Hall on Monday.

It was Anna-Liisa Närvänen, supervisor of doctoral programs in educational work and Helena Elvstrand, lecturer, both from Linköping University, who received two million crowns to the project recreation centers in the future.

– The municipality sends out a signal to the staff at recreation centers that there is an interest in their work, said Anna-Liisa Närvänen.

work will be done through structured dialogues with various leisure activities in Norrköping.

– We will also use the money to pay for substitutes when regular staff goes off to talk to us, says Helena Elvstrand.

In the current situation, there is no current research on leisure activities, according to Anna-Liisa Närvänen.

– You can scrape together what exists, she says.

The fact that there is no previous research addressing Mayor Lars Stjernkvist (S).

– I think it’s great to Norrköping is a leader in many research areas. Hopefully we saw maybe a new area such reborn here today, he said.

study is expected to last for 2.5 years, starting in June.
