A man and a woman, both residents of the property during the Sunday night fire started for unknown reasons, alerted the SOS. It was just before 02 o’clock the alarm reached the monitoring station when the information about the fire would have started on the top floor of the house.
– The villa was fully in flames when we arrived at the scene, says Christer Olofsson of rescue operations in emergency preparedness.
Around 20 persons have been part of the rescue effort, forces from Tidaholm, Falkirk and Blikstorp was in place. Fighting continued throughout the night, during the Monday morning escalated forces down. Efforts by extinguishing lasted throughout the morning.
As the villa was in flames when emergency services arrived at the scene so the work was focused to stop spreading by sparks, and exterior fire fighting.
– The neighbors have also received water their roofs if the sparks have turned over, says Olofsson.
The man in the house suffered burns and was taken to hospital, but the woman is still being sought.
– She may have become confused and walk around outdoors, but she has not been found yet. We can not exclude that she come out, says Olofsson.
Fire place is still blocked.
– We have not been able to go into the house yet, but police technicians will do it in the afternoon or in the morning. We do know that both of them were awake when the fire broke out, said Olofsson Monday.
