FINSPÅNG Lots of imagination, creativity and – romance! It flowed at Curt … – Folkbladet

– This time it’s about 120 students from Grosvad school year nine, which is here, says the headmaster Anders Södergren. But in total we have technology days in eleven schools in Finspång and Norrköping, then we run the iron over an entire day.

And the purpose?

– We will try to inspire young people to choose education the technical professions and industrial technology of various kinds. And then, six, seven years ago, we are involved in something called the technical college in Sweden. A bet in which it was decided to build up around 20 technical colleges around the country and we became number two to call us for this.

– And the mission that technical college is to go out to young people in all grade nine who is about to make her life choices, that is their future education. And we want to show this with technology and industry is no longer about dirty environments, dirty jobs and old steaming factories.

How do things look today?

– Nowadays it completely different environments within the industry. There are cool job, lots of career opportunities in business, which now offers nice, bright rooms with very modern technology that is integrated in the production.

Grosvad students were given an exciting task during the day, namely through a path of about four meters, move and deliver a rose to a girl to fall in love.

– This requires a lot of creative imagination and, therefore, students also practice how to buy different tools that we bought into a own store. Everything from Lego to water jugs and toy cars, says Anders Södergren.
