A woman found dead in asylum accommodation – Expressen

A woman in her 20s has been killed in an asylum accommodation in Mariannelund, suspect police.

A man of 25 years old has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

A woman in her 20s has been found dead in an asylum accommodation in Mariannelund. The alarm was added to 13:30 on Sunday and the woman was living at the accommodation.

Shortly after 18 o’clock on Sunday evening, police announced that the suspicion against the person previously taken in for questioning strengthened. It concerns a man of 25 who are arrested by the prosecutor on duty on suspicion of murder.

Police compiles information from interrogations and conducting a forensic examination of the scene.

Police wrote earlier on its website :

“Seriously injured alternative deceased person in the asylum accommodation and in a habitable room. When the patrol arrives at the scene showed it turns out that it was a woman 25 years age who met with the deceased in the living space. “

Further, it says:

” Circumstances and finds on the site allows the suspicion is that she’s feat of life. the location is currently closed off when the techniques and coroner are called to the scene in order to make a crime scene investigation. “

a person deprived of liberty

Michael Ehne as duty officer at Jönköping police spoke just before five o’clock on Sunday afternoon:

– we are still waiting for technicians and the place is sealed off and we keep hearing so much we can take, he says .

One person has been detained and Michael Ehne said police believe that the detained person must be resident at the accommodation.

It is unclear what circumstances that caused the woman’s death. The place is cordoned off, and police have conducted interrogations.



Details of an injured man

Asylum accommodation run by a contractor on behalf of the Swedish Migration Board.

Caroline Henjered as regional manager at the Swedish Migration Board says she reached the information that there’s an injured man and a dead woman.

Caroline Henjered have no information that there would have been problems at the accommodation before.

The Swedish Migration Board has previously sent staff to the accommodation to see how you can support the situation and reviewing the possible measures.



“It’s boring”

Fredrik Antonsson live in the area and was heading to the water to swim when he saw several fire trucks at the asylum accommodation. On the way back, he saw several police cars and an ambulance, and feared that something serious had happened.

– You see a police car and then but now there were several police cars, an ambulance and a police van bus so I suspected that something serious had happened, he said.

he says the area has been quiet in the past.

– it’s sad it happened, but I feel no concern. There has been unrest in the past.

Fredrik Antonsson continues:

– I think it feels remained secure. You’ll probably hear the story behind the incident eventually but I do not feel any danger.

Another person who lives in the area, who wants to remain anonymous, says that what has happened is very terrible.

– it is clear that it is scary, this is something that does not happen every day, said the person.

Susanna Stjernberg also lives near the asylum accommodation and says it’s been really quiet in there before. She is not worried.

– Of course it is unpleasant but yet we know nothing so it’s hard to say much now. It could have happened to just any reason, she says.

Stefan Elm’s city manager in Eksjö municipality where the event occurred. During the afternoon, he told me that he reached the information through the rescue of the police and the Immigration Service are involved.

– The municipality as we await with inserting external support what the Immigration Service and the police say, says Stefan Elm.

He believes that it may be appropriate to offer support to people who live in the area.
