The diver William Hemberg, 59, first thought it was a macabre joke when he saw the fins protrude at the wreck at about 65 meters depth.

But then he saw the equipment that was there was the old section.

– It proved to be a diver who disappeared 20 years ago, said William Hemberg Aftonbladet.

– I saw a couple of fins sticking out. At first I thought it was something macabre joke but soon I realized that it was the body of a diver, he said.

William Hemberg and his companion were afraid and thought that it was someone from their own group stuck in the crevice but soon realized that the body has been there a long time.

– He wore a vest of older cut and there was a light that one saw was old. But it is clear that it was a bit uncomfortable anyway, says William Hemberg.

His friend was much more frightened and they swam up directly.

The captain of the boat alerted the Marine Police who arrived at the site.

– There was some discussion how we would do if we were to tell you this or not, but now everyone informed so it feels okay to talk about.

– It feels unbelievable in a way, that we would find this person for more than 20 years.
