Instagram updated with new features - Lukasz Lindell

instagram-straight Instagram yesterday presented version 4.1 for both iOS and Android. New features include automatic straightening of images and the ability to import video.

After taking a picture or imported into Instagram, you can now press the symbol for automatic straightening. Instagram themselves describe themselves how convenient it can be to apply the skew horizons. Unfortunately, the automatic straightening pretty bad, but you can manually skew the picture with a degree number. It is now also to spin the image 90 degrees at a time.
Another, probably more sought after feature is that it is now possible to import previously recorded videos from phone memory to Instagram, and then publish them on the site. It can probably raise the amount of videos on Instagram, then it is more likely that users have videos recorded with the built-in camera function. Is the video longer than 15 seconds, you can trim the clip to Instagram, but in a rather ointuitivt interface.

The third innovation in the update affect the users of the phones with Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich. Previously, these users were unable to use the video function, but it is something that is now possible.

The update can be found in Apple’s App Store or Google Play.

Instagrams press release can be found on their blog.
