Microsoft previously cio goes to VMware - IDG.se

VMware hires Tony Scott, who worked as cio Microsoft until May of this year, as a new cio. Scott finished at Microsoft for five years now.

Class=”paragraphIntro”> on VMware to he reports directly to company president Pat Gelsinger. The announcement is made in conjunction with VMware’s ongoing global conference VMworld.

VMware, Microsoft biggest competitor in virtualization. When Tony Scott left off, we did so on the grounds that he intended to focus on personal projects. Tony Scott has previously worked as CIO for including Walt Disney and as chief technology officer at General Motors.

The announcement comes just a few days after Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer announced that he will resign within a year. CS has previously written about the problems facing the software giant, with declining Windows sales, stagnant PC market combined with the company’s problems to be passed on smartphones and plates.
