Tipping Ballmer's successor - Elektroniktidningen

When Steve Ballmer announced his resignation last week put the speculation immediately off around who should take over the software giant. Ladbrokes lists a series of more or less likely candidates. But who seriously believes that Apple boss Tim Cook would step out to Microsoft? Gaming company gives 101 times the money if it happens.

Far more likely is Kevin Turner, Microsoft’s Chief Operating Officer. He has odds of 7.0 while Nokia boss Stephen Elop gives 6.0 times the money.

Ladbrokes organize and to betting on odd events. In spring 2008, for example, to invest in the former Ericsson CEO Carl-Henric Svanberg would resign before the end of the year. Gaming company considered it so unlikely that the odds were set at 1.1 times the money (link). But Svanberg remained until the end of December 2009, the gaming company was wrong.
