A car similar to the one now presented was presented in May. But in a blog post from Google tells us now that the vehicle was an early mockup, it had not even functioning headlights.

Now, however, a drivable car, and it will be initially tested in a cordoned off area during the Christmas holidays, and then in January to head out on the roads of Northern California. A car that is completely built to be self-propelled.

Some details about the car has not been presented. The development team has put a lot of time testing different prototypes built to test the individual functions as steering, braking, computer control and sensors.

Now they have added all functions in one and the same vehicle. To begin with, there will be people in the car that could be mobilized through extra-mounted accessories like steering wheel and pedals if necessary.

But when the car is ready town picked this option away.
