Cadillac launches next year mirrors that show streaming video of what is happening behind the car.
The premiere will be in the model Cadillac CT6. The reversing camera will have a role to show what happens behind the car even when driving forward.
This avoids blind spots and passengers obstructing vision in the back seat, or gadgets that are stacked on the hat rack at the rear window.
A special camera lens to be used in the camera and with a image processing software should be video in very high resolution in the rearview mirror. The driver should not experience any difference with a look of an ordinary rear view mirror.
Behind the evolution of video rearview mirror is now ten patents.
Drivers who nevertheless prefer to watch in a conventional rear-view mirror can turn off the video display and use the mirror as usual.
