A major fire broke late on Christmas Eve in a parking garage in Hammarkullen in Gothenburg. A dozen cars destroyed by fire.
At most, staff from five stations with extinction. The amount of smoke was very strong. An evacuation of the apartments above the garage was considered, but did not need to be implemented.

Four people from a particularly vulnerable apartment had temporarily vacate their homes, according to police.
The alarm about the fire came shortly before midnight. It took fire fighters long time to locate the burning cars because of the strong smoke and the long road to go inside the garage.
Suspected arson
Police have launched a preliminary investigation of arson and has cordoned off the site of the technical investigation.
No evacuation of residents should have been needed to be done and no one should have been injured in the fire.
The fire has damaged several cars.
