Students warned of deadly drug – Norrtelje Newspaper

– The latest developments with the spice is alarming. It says Christer Hofström as Friday was, and met students at Norrtelje technology and Naturbruksgymnasiet.

Chris Hofström is Sweden’s only private Drug dog handlers. He previously worked 20 years in the penitentiary, but now he has his own company and get many assignments for treatment centers where employees suspect that there are drugs. As much as Chris Hofström loves her five furry friends he hates drugs.

On Friday he chance to show off their dogs and as he told of drug use prior to 40 students, of which a few of them go on the this program with specialization dog. At his side had Chris Hofström besides their dogs even Somchat Logren. The two met 12 years ago when Somchat was inside a heavy addiction.
– It was peer pressure that got me to start taking drugs. I believe that the mechanisms to start is the same today, says Somchat who have only vague memories of their first meeting.
Chris remembers it more clearly.
– We would steer a brawl where Somchat was involved. Even though we were two and considerably larger than Somchat he was almost impossible to take down when he was in a psychosis. But in the end we got the handcuffs on him.

And now they are out of school together. A drug that has been heavily on the rise in recent times is the spice that claimed several casualties in recent times.
– I found my first spice bags eight years ago, and after that it has only gotten more. There are always new compounds that we do not know what they contain. Today’s youth are guinea pigs for this drug, says Christer Hofström and states:
– There are no happy addict.

After the lecture, Christer’s two active drug dogs show what they go for. First conducted drug dog Liby a pager in the classroom and then it was the Labrador Pimpims luck searching through the workshop. Of course, with good results.
– My ambition is to visit more schools. Not to make targeted search, but more to inform about these issues.

– It was interesting, I would love to work as a dog handler in the customs service in the future.
