The average emissions of CO2 from new cars sold in Europe in 2014 was below the targets set by the EU for the 2015th

Det statistics from the European Environment Agency EEA. The target for 2015 was added to 130 g / km, but the average emissions for a new car sold in 2014 was 123.4 g / km. As early as 2013, emissions were lower than 130 g / km.

Diesel cars are the best-selling models in Europe, accounting for 53 percent of the sale. Petrol cars are becoming increasingly efficient and emissions gap between diesel and petrol is now less than 3 g CO2 / km, one-seventh of the difference in 2000.
