– This material is both renewable sources and biodegradable. Therefore it is very interesting, says Björn Florman the material library.
The material is called Solanyl from a company with the same name as collaborating with Dutch Rodenburg Biopolymers.
– Many customers are very interested and there are many tests right now, says Stefan Hansson, Swedish retailers in IMCD.
The raw material is thus potato starch and it requires no special manufacturing process without going to injection mold as other plastics. An application is a kind of nätkub, about half a square meter that can be placed on the sea floor, such as ports, where people destroyed the vegetation.
