In May launched HD and Sydsvenskan their new sites. The new technology together with a number of good news has led to traffic reached record levels.
Last week was a record week for HD Sydsvenskan. HD had 590,000 unique visitors and Sydsvenskan got 1.3 million, a level that both sites together tend to be on the best.
– What is especially gratifying is that what was most read was also our important texts. It’s nice to know that it is good journalism behind the numbers, says Chief Editor Sydsvenskan Pia Rehnquist.
But there is a dose technology too. In May launched HD and Sydsvenskan their new sites that are both controlled by an algorithm that matches the content for news, longevity and reader engagement. In addition, developers have worked hard to reduce loading times.
– The new site is definitely a contributing factor. In all honesty was the old site heavy and difficult charged. We have had a huge increase in particular requests since we went over to the new site.
Are you going to remain at this level now?
– the week has started well, as much as I know.
so you will hit a new record already this week?
– I’d love for me but I dare not promise. But we’ll beat the traffic record at least once during the autumn, I dare say.
