He was 28 years old when he was shot to death by police.

For that he shot first was the police version – something his family never believed in.

But it took a month before the police went out and gave the families the right.

– My son was shot in the head when he, according to some witnesses, raised their hands to ask for grace, says mother to the man who was shot in Bagarmossen.

the dead 28-year-old’s family believes that what has happened is one of the largest law scandals in Sweden.

And for them, the past month has been hell.

It was just after seven o’clock in the evening of June 22 this year that the police were alerted to Bagarmossen in southern Stockholm. The alarm was a man who walked around with a pistol-like objects.

– It was my son who himself asked his barber to call the police. He had been deeply depressed the last two months and was not feeling well, this was his cry for help, says the mother.

“Pushing toward the patrol”

A patrol came out to Bagarmossen and found 28-year-old car.

According to the police report was then 28-year-old out of the car.

and that’s what happened next that it issued two versions.

His shocked family were thus receiving death announcement from the media instead of getting it from doctors.

– it was so macabre that it felt like a bad movie says the mother.

the family could not understand the version that the police gave, they did not think it sounded like 28-year-old man they knew.

– I felt at once that it they said must be wrong. It did not sound like my son, not at all. He was quite messy until their 20s but now he had started a family and had a child and tried to sort out his life. He well could have had a gun and both would have shot at the police sounded incredible, says his mother.

The police version was however firm.

But then, almost two weeks ago, the mother found a letter which for unknown reasons was sent to her son’s old apartment. The letter was from the police and included the police report from that particular evening.

It said that 28-year-old’s family always believed: that he had never fired a few shots at the police. The damage to the police car’s windshield was caused by the policemen shot from inside his own car – the 28-year-old.

Witness statements have been divided on the 28-year-old at all, holding something in his hands. Was it a weapon, a toy, or hands were empty? How it really was the police have not wanted to answer when the matter is being investigated and there is investigation secrecy.

– Why did they not talk to him? Or at least shoot him in the arm or the leg? Why shoot him in the head? wonders the mother.

“My crown of the head”

She says she, when she saw her son in the funeral chapel, immediately reacted to where he was shot.

– I thought he would be shot in the forehead. But he was shot in the middle of the crown. He must have been really scared when the police started shooting and bowing. Some witnesses say he threw up his hands to pray for mercy.

The relatives of 28-year-old chose, when they had access to the report, to notify the police officers who made statements in the media for libel.

– He fired no shots. We apologize for that task, said Lauri Peltola, Head of Communications at the Stockholm police, on Saturday.

Police denial came more than a month after the fatal shooting.

The mother does not understand how it could take so long .

– They must have known the day after, perhaps on the same day even, what had happened. How it could take them a month to tell? I have always had great faith in the police, it was my son, but now there’s nothing left of it.

Son has turned two years

The mother and their entire family mourn the 28-year-old man. The other day, filled his son two years.

But they are also cursed. Cursed at the incorrect version that the police went out with and who painted out their loved one as a gunman who shot at police.

– As a crazy monster. There are very serious allegations that have damaged our entire family.

The mother says she wants to give a different image of his son, tell me how he really was.

– He was very lively and spontaneous and impulse-driven. He was always happy and helpful. He always gave money to beggars, even though he had so much money myself. “Mom you have to give to those who have not,” he always said. When he was feeling good, he had a spark of life without equal.

– When he got the family got his life new meaning but so two months before he died, he ended up in a deep depression. He wanted to hospitals for help. But instead, he was shot to death. And it feels so insanely terrible.

The officers who were at the event in Bagarmossen is now being investigated for misconduct and involuntary manslaughter. They are still in service when they have not yet formally received notifications.
