Reward issued in pursuit of Karina’s killer – Aftonbladet

On Tuesday, found 30-year-old Karina Vetrano strangled to death.

It was Karina’s father Philip found her in Howard Beach in Queens, New York.

Now issue the NYPD a reward of 2500 dollars to anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest of the killer.

Karina Vetrano, 30, left his home in Queens at 17 o’clock on Tuesday night to head out for a jog. She’d run a round in Spring Creek nearby.

According to the police, she would usually run with his father Philip, but on Tuesday he could not follow, when he injured his back.



“Called the police”

after that her daughter did not answer his phone calls later in the evening, he became worried.

– Soon after he began to worry about where she was somewhere, and why she did not come home. He called a police officer who lives nearby who then called 911, said Robert Bryce, reconnaissance leader, to CBS News.

The father, a retired firefighter, helped the police to locate and having plumbed her daughter’s phone, they could target in on an area next to the running track.

– the father then found the body. She was face down in the ground, said Robert Bryce.

CBS New York report that police sources said that the woman was in a way that indicated that she had been dragged to the hiding place. A sneaker and her headphones were missing as well.



“Scary”

One suspects also that Karina Vetrano been raped. Something that has not yet been confirmed by the forensic experts.

– He (the pathologist) must confirm it, but there were marks on the body that indicate it, says Robert Bryce.

Wednesday night was the neighbors and other residents of the area a vigil for the murdered woman. The atmosphere must have been very upset.

– It’s a terrible tragedy. It’s scary, I cycle on that path every day, said neighbor Mary Lou Dazzo to CBS News.

It is currently unknown if Karina Vetrano knew his killer or if it was an unprovoked attack.

2500 dollars in reward

the police have carried out technical studies, collecting videos from surveillance cameras and interrogated several people in the area, but according to information to local media, in spite of investigative actions have very little concrete clues in the case.
