Words of life to send Bibles to IS – Aftonbladet

Now, a new entrant into the fight for a safer Middle East.

Life words think “air bomb” areas such as the terrorist organization Islamic State (IS) controls in Iraq – with Bibles.

– It’s all about making the Bible available to the people who live in areas where human and democratic rights are denied them, says pastor Joakim Lundqvist.

While the US, France and Russia releases deadly bombs on iS positions in Iraq and Syria plan to the word of Life help with the word of God in the struggle for a more stable Middle East.

Free Church will use drones to drop small electronic Bibles in Iraq. The initiative is included Swedish Life words.

Texts in comprehensible Arabic

“The drones have been adapted in a way so that they can carry Bibles. They fly over the IS-controlled areas in Iraq, “says the Word of Life Missionary Department in a statement, according to the World today.

According to Pastor Joakim Lundqvist’s campaign is not targeted specifically to IS.

– it is about making the Bible available to the people who live in areas where human and democratic rights are denied them. the initiative takes place in close cooperation with local organizations, coupled with humanitarian efforts, he says, and continues:

– the is not us but the local organizations that determine where the need is greatest.

the electronic Bibles are large as matchboxes and contains texts in comprehensible Arabic. the units operate on its own and requires no computer.

“aerial bombings” will start in a few weeks and the hope is to spread thousands of Bibles.

drone flew over the audience

the plans were revealed on Saturday during the Free Church of Europe Conference in Uppsala. A drone flew in the audience at the meeting to demonstrate the technology.

– Life is not about us and our comfort, but about other people and their salvation, said pastor Joakim Lundqvist then, in the world today.

Bibles cost 150 kronor each, and funded in part through the collection.

His Brown, terrorism researcher at King’s College in London, do not believe that the salvation of the operation will be successful.

– to convert from Islam to Christianity is very controversial and may even be dangerous in some cases. From my perspective, I think it would be better to spend the resources on humanitarian aid instead, he said.

“Christian is already a target”

Terror researcher sees it as propaganda.

– considering how it looks in Syria and Iraq. There is a huge need for help. Then we should put resources on humanitarian assistance if you want to influence people. It is better to influence through positive action than propaganda.

The information disseminated in areas of conflict is not unusual.

– in the first Gulf War released to enormous amounts of leaflets where they wanted Iraqi soldiers to surrender. The leaves contain simple instructions on how to proceed. This was done to facilitate the war, but also to save lives. Hundreds of thousands of soldiers surrendered, and then certainly had the instructions of great importance, says Hans Brown.

Would this be able to ignite a spark, causing irritation of the IS?

– No I do not think so. Christian is already a target for jihadists. I do not think this has any significance.

Joakim Lundkvist stresses that the innovative deployment of the Gospel should not be seen as an attack on ice.

– There is a way to provide the people with the Bible’s message. This is the Christian Church has worked in all times.
