Application Engineer Power Electronic Devices – New Technology

Open position for an application engineer with responsibility for our SiC power device product specification and qualification.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As Application Engineer at Ascatron you will be part of a devoted team developing next generation power semiconductors:

• Investigate target customer demands.
• Setup detailed device specifications with data sheet and procedure for device qualification.
• Engage and manage suppliers for the outsourcing of device testing.
• Electrical measurements High voltage (1-10 kV), high current (1-100 A), low leakage (nA) and high temp (250°C).
• Device application modelling and system performance demonstration.
• Performance analysis in cooperation with device development team.
• Documentation, progress reporting and presentations for internal and external use.

REQUIREMENTS

This position requires a good understanding of power electronic circuits and devices. You have a strong ability to present and conclude your work, as well as plan your work according to deadlines.

We are looking for you who have:

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering or engineering physics.
• Knowledge in power electronic semiconductors and circuits.
• Experience in power device testing and qualification.
