SKB is looking for anläggningskoordinator – New Technology

in 2009 chose the SKB Forsmark as the site for the final repository for Sweden’s spent fuel. In march 2011, submitted applications to the Land and environmental court and the Swedish Radiation safety authority to build the final repository for spent nuclear fuel in Forsmark and to build out SKB’s central interim stores for spent fuel in Oskarshamn with a inkapslingsanläggning.

Title Kärnbränsles task is to, on the basis of submitted applications, be responsible for the system for the disposal of spent nuclear fuel (KBS-3 system) is constructed and commissioned in accordance with current requirements and plans. Unit of civil engineering is responsible for the planning and construction of the final repository for spent nuclear fuel. This includes a series of challenges linked to this unique industrial projects.

Main duties

In the role of anläggningskoordinator you should be included in SKB’s politicians and responsible for the overall requirements of the future slutförvarsanläggningen. In the current phase, we perform analyses with the goal to reach the optimal requirement level, where aspects such as security, technical design and economics be taken into account. Our goal is to provide clear requirements and decisions that allow for good motion in the activities of the project.

In the role of, among others, include:

• lead cost analyses for the final repository for spent nuclear fuel
• compile the basis for major economic decisions
• prepare decisions in important technical vägvalsfrågor
• interact with the project’s external and internal stakeholders
• push investigations linked to slutförvarsanläggningens activities
• run their own feasibility studies and feasibility study

Qualifications and personal attributes

• master of science or equivalent technical training at the tertiary level,
• at Least five years of industry experience, for example from paper industry, petrochemical, steel fabrication or construction industry, where you have worked strategically with technology issues
• Proven experience of producing economic evidence and calculations
• Knowledge of English in speech and writing at a level that makes international contacts
• Good knowledge of supplier market
