The project: To create models – Östgöta Correspondenten

Work has been going on in smaller groups within the course Technology 1 students read during the first half of their high school time. In recent years, the theme has been shipping and it is based on the idea that, as it now stands twelve finished boats ready to compete against each other in Varamoviken.

” I am super happy with the results. They just get better and better every year and the boats are superb-looking, ” says teacher Karin Linderyd.

to engage the other years in the technology programme are all of the classes on-site in Varamon. Each student may vote for their favourite design and then guess which boat they think, in the fastest time, may be along a stretch of the lake.

Ida Oskarsson has worked in a group with three guys and it was her idea to create a boat in bright purple and blue colors.

“I wanted something that stood out,” she says, and tells us that they built a water bus.

Each group has in addition to create your own model also received and think about how the boat could be used, for a purpose other than tourism.

What has been the most difficult with the project?
