What does a patent attorney?

As a patent examiner assesses you and grant protection – patents – on technical solutions. The solution must be new and no one had shown something similar in the past. The one who gets a patent has the exclusive right to import, manufacture and sell products based on the patent. A patent can apply to up to 20 years.

Patentbranschen is active and the business world places high demands on us. You may all the time learn the new, since you are working with the latest developments: work is challenged when the technology should be packaged in the law. At PRV, we are 120 patent examiners who work with the patent applications, and together we have expertise in all fields of technology.

We are looking for someone who wants to be with, and promote the growth and strengthen the country’s capacity for innovation and competitiveness. Now we are searching for new expertise in several technology areas.

Are you a civil engineer with a great interest in technology and core skills in electrical engineering, with specialization in the following areas:

• Data – and telecommunication technology
• Electrical engineering
• Technical physics

Qualifications

You have a master’s degree, or academic qualification of at least master’s level in the relevant field of technology. Exam should be the outlets no later than on the date of arrival. Then we have a lot of customer contact, it is important that you are good at expressing yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English. We also want you to have a basic level in German, French or other patent-intensive languages.

Your ability to cooperate is important because the work is characterized by many contacts, both internally and externally. We believe you are looking for is inquisitive, analytical and decisive. Your employment with us begins with a training to become a patent attorney. You read patentjuridik and granskningsmetodik and theory are interspersed with supervised work. After the training you will get to make their own decisions in our clients ‘ patent issues.

the Services are permanent positions on a full time basis. We have a six-month probationary period. The start date for the position is February 6, and then start the compulsory education for patent attorney.
