Volvo confirms that, already in the year to introduce a new car-to-car communication technologies in the 90 series all models.
At the premiere of the V90 Cross Country showed Volvo’s two new safety systems based on cars can communicate and exchange important information with each other to undivka accidents. The technology has been developed together with Ericsson.
“All the vehicles in the 90-series – S90, V90 and XC90 – will be equipped with this in the end of the year,” says Volvo’s head of development, Peter Mertens.
With the V90 Cross Country we got to familiarize ourselves with the two new systems, one of the “Slippery Road Alert” means that if the skidding or the wheels start to spin, it will warn the other cars on the road is slippery. The other “Hazard Light Alert” works in a similar way, the other cars are warned about the driver sat on the hazard, for example, at the puncture.
