Mercedes-AMG develops new supercar with the F1-technology – auto motor & sport

Mercedes-AMG is developing a new supercar with the F1-technology

Mercedes-AMG to to develop a completely new “hyperbil” in the same class as the LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder. This was confirmed by the head of development Thomas Weber at the motor show in Paris.

It is a supercar with my engine and kolfiberteknik to end up in prestandadivisionen Mercedes-AMG. And the best part is that it gets the F1 technology.

“We are going to create a the AMG-prestandahybrid with drivlineteknik from Formula 1. Under the direction of AMG will our prestandadivisioner work together to create the most effective and at the same time the best performing and most spectacular AMG car ever. Some would even call it a hyperbil”, said Thomas Weber at a press conference.

the Model will take Mercedes-AMG “into the future” with a drivlineteknik that is both effective and intelligent. Probably get the car a 1.6-liter V6 turbo engine, and a clever hybrid system that can take advantage of the excess energy. The effect will not be quite as high as in a F1-car but it falls not so far away. However, it is unclear which transmission the new superbilen may.

The new superbilen from Mercedes-AMG is to be launched within two and a half years.
