Scores of police officers are ordered out to protect houses in Västmanland from looters.
Now, three burglaries reported to the police in the area.
– They have gone through the window and rooted through the house, said one of the victims, Jessica Melin, 42.
Hundreds of people have been evacuated after the raging forest fire in Västmanland.
At the same time there are concerns about unauthorized to enter the area. Police patrols who are in the woods around the clock keeps an eye out for suspected looters on the spot.
Three reports of burglary
Police in Norberg has received three reports of burglaries in the week.
– In two cases, I know that the residents left their homes voluntarily due to fire, says Karin Replies City, communicator at police in Västmanland.
Burglaries occurred in two villas and holiday accommodation.
– It has been stolen technical appliances, televisions, laptops and video games, says Karin Replies City.
The police can not comment on it’s looters who have been on the go.
– It is difficult to say at present. We have a lot of police presence in this area and will do our utmost to prevent it.
“The thieves have seen the time”
One of the victims, Jessica Melin, have lost two televisions, a Playstation, a lot of alcohol and drugs from his cottage outside Norberg.
The burglary was discovered by her father, who lives in the area.
– Probably the Passat on when the house is empty. I think it’s crap rotten, even though it does not matter if it happens this week or any other time, she says.
She and her family left the house on Monday.
– It was very heavy smoke, so I took the family with me and went home.
On Saturday, she returned to see for myself what has happened.
– They have only taken such as they can sell quickly. But they have rooted through boxes and other things, she says.
How does it feel to be back?
– It’s insulting to be exposed to the here. But they have not looted the entire house.
A large number of police officers
According to a police source told Aftonbladet has several civilian cars seen inside the barricades in the area. The police must also have encouraged the public to immediately alert if you see something suspicious.
