The couple accused of resväskmordet – Aftonbladet

The young couple argues that robber is behind the murder.

It was last Wednesday that Heather Mack and her boyfriend Tommy Schaefer, 21, was arrested shortly after police found Heather mother dead in a suitcase, wrapped in a taxi outside their hotel.

After testimony and technical studies prosecuted the young couple for the murder of the mother.

According to police, the couple called on a taxi, packed into the suitcase and then said that they would go and check out from the hotel. When they came back, and hotel security guards found the blood of the bag so the driver went to the police. Once there was discovered the mother’s body, writes News Corp Australia.

– We found scars on both forearms and a broken nail on his left hand. It indicates the resistance in a fight, says Ida Bagus Putu Alit, chief pathologist at the hospital in Denpasar on Bali.

Mack and Schaefer has said in interviews that her mother was killed by robber, but that they managed to escape.

According to police, their story is not connected with the testimony they have collected from the taxi driver and the employees at the hotel.

Heather Mack and his mother arrived at the Hotel St. Regis last weekend. Shaefer joined on Monday, and surveillance images from that day shows how he and his mother were arguing in the hotel lobby. It is unclear what the quarrel was about, and what may be behind the murder.

All three were on vacation and they normally live in the United States.



not cooperated with police

Heather Mack has written investigative documents and agreed to have a public defender assigned to it. Schaefer, however, refused, saying he would wait for his lawyer from the United States.

– In principle, they have not responded to many questions. They have not been cooperative, says lawyer Haposan Sihombing as police abandoned the mission to help the couple.

According to neighbors of the family home in Chicago so will the relationship between the daughter and her mother have been bad. Police should have been called to their house no less than 86 times between 2004 and 2013.
