Samsung's profit grows - for the sixth quarter - Mobile

During the first quarter made Samsung a gain equivalent to more than SEK 42 million, which means that the company’s profit increased for the sixth consecutive quarter. The company’s handsets are scheduled embarrass about 70 percent of the total profit.

Samsung’s market share has grown from 29 percent to 33 percent, making the company the world leader when it comes to smartphones.

In terms of unit shipments smartphones, Samsung has not released any official figures. But analysts estimated that it has sold 70 million smartphones in Q1 2013. This compares with Apple, which shipped 37 million handsets.
