Telephony Bråket: Stockholm City Strikes Back - IDG.se

After TDC and Tele2 appealed the City’s choice of TeliaSonera as telephony provider to the Administrative Court strikes the city now back. It was in March that TeliaSonera took home the City’s procurement of fixed and mobile telephony until at least 2018. According to the two competitors were contract such that TeliaSonera had advantage over competitors through both already be the provider and by the type of telephony equipment that the city claimed would be used.

Class=”paragraphIntro”> In a response to the Administrative Court in Stockholm responds city representative to the criticism of the two operators. Not surprisingly, divides the city not the image of a distortion of competition. Unlike Tele2 and TDC believes the city representative, for example, that there are several possible suppliers of the type of landlines as the city requires. Nor that there is a requirement that the fixed telephony will be delivered through copper cable owned by TeliaSonera’s subsidiary, considered as a problem of the city: “The company was formed to ensure that all operators would be guaranteed equal access to the grid,” it says in the written response.

Nor that Telia would have an information advantage think the city is relevant to the procurement. The city says the opposite that they have supplied the necessary information in the documentation for the procurement of both fixed telephony and mobile. It is, for example, details of where it now requires additional strengthening indoor coverage and was the fixed phones will be placed. The data on indoor coverage pipe Telia’s mobile network sees the city not as a problem because it believes that it can not know which mobile network tenderer proposes to use.

The city denies not Telia to know more about the situation because the operator is already provider: “To Telia as the current supplier of telephone service to the city may have access to information is not something that the city can take responsibility for” states the answer.
