Bitcoinpengar distributed free of charge, but only to users that solves a complicated math problem. Putting your computer to do it is called “mining”. Solve the problem to get 50 bitcoins – nearly 39 000 with today’s exchange rate. The problems to be solved become more and more difficult with time. The plan is namely that the number of new bitcoins should gradually decrease until it becomes completely stop. It is now almost impossible to solve the problems of a single personal computer , even if there are custom circuit for bitcoin mining.

Those who are behind Fareit-infection is split the problem into smaller pieces which are distributed to the infected computers.
