NASA’s notice of the 715 planets is by far the most spectacular of its kind. “Only” about a thousand planets have previously been identified.

According to Nasa circuits the new planets around 305 different stars, discoveries made possible by the Kepler telescope which was stationed in space in 2009. 95 percent of the new planets smaller than Neptune, writes CNN.

The four planets that NASA claims may be habitable is about twice as big as Earth. Rotational speeds will vary, but a common denominator for them is that they like the Earth is relatively close to their stars.
