Norrköping
One man was stabbed in the stomach, and the other received injuries on his hand. Now suspected one of them for the rough beating.
It’s a messy story that police in Norrköping now being unravel. And no one involved, either as victims or witnesses, would be involved in the police investigation, says Ronnie Dahlqvist, duty officer at the Östergötland police.
It was the early hours of Sunday as two men, both 25 years old, knife injured. Initially, police received information that there were two events that have occurred in two different places in Norrköping. One knife cutting would have been at a party in a union hall in Norrköping and the other looking at Linnankatu.
But on Sunday afternoon, says Ronnie Dahlqvist that the police theory now is that the two men injured in the union hall, then one should have stabbed the other.
– · We have come to the conclusion that it is just an event. The place which they state that one of the crime scenes there is no trace on and it would have done with so much blood that they have lost, says Ronnie Dahlqvist.
One man was stabbed in the stomach. He was taken to Vrinnevisjukhuset with serious injuries and received emergency surgery. After surgery reported his condition as serious but stable, according to a bulletin from the hospital.
The other man should have received cuts to his hand.
The police are now working under the assumption that one man stabbed the other explains Ronnie Dahlqvist like this:
– · It depends on how the damage is located on each person as we have done the assessment.
Police have now conducted a comprehensive technical study in association premises.
– · We have secured the blood and other tracks, so we’ll hopefully be able to tie two people there. The two involved know each other, says Ronnie Dahlqvist.
Men are also known to the police already. The suspected man was taken in for questioning at the police station on Sunday and afterwards he was released following a decision by prosecutors.
– · None of them want to participate. Let’s see if the technical investigation can provide something that allows us to move on. If they refuse to talk to us so it’s difficult to investigate these things, says Ronnie Dahlqvist.
