Apple developer portal chopped - 99mac

Apple has announced that their portal for developers has been hacked and that is why it was not possible to reach since last Thursday when the attack occurred. Personal information about the developer may have been accessed by the hacker.

Last Thursday was Apple’s developer portal down and no reasons were given for why it was no longer possible to reach. The portal is used by developers to manage their developer accounts and its apps from Apple. It also provides important documentation on Apple’s programming APIs and discussion forum for developers.

The American Macworld, Apple announced that no information about Apple’s customers had been brought about. The attacker could also not reach program for apps or servers where information about the apps saved.

Security researcher Ibrahim Balic claims to have reported a security hole in Apple’s developer portal just hours before it went down last Thursday, writing 9to5mac who have been in contact with Balic. He claims to have been the first and last names of developers, e-mail addresses of Apple IDs and user IDs Balic has released a video on Youtube about the security hole, and stresses that he is not a hacker and not use it for any purpose or caused any damage to Apple’s system.
