Nokia unveils Lumia 1020 with 42MP camera - Lukasz Lindell

Nokia continues to invest heavily in its new start in phone industry. The first models of the Lumia with Windows 8 was released last year and now comes the sequel.

Lumia 1020 is apparently a hefty piece, but that it also contains a camera with mechanical shutter and image stabilization that captures images at a resolution of 42 megapixels. High resolution need not be the same as good quality, but its predecessor Lumia 920 has received pretty good reviews of photo pages before so hopefully delivers Lumia 1020 as good or better.

Lumia 1020 also has a feature they call Dual Capture. The phone takes two shots with one touch, a high-resolution (38MP) and a low-resolution (5MP). The latter is more suitable for sharing on the web, in messages or the like, and the bigger picture is suitable for pressure.

Windows 8, the operating system that runs Lumia has also grown since the first phones released. More and more apps are developed, and although it may take some time for Windows 8 will probably not go away in a hurry. Windows 8 is not as open system like Android, but is more considered to be Microsoft’s version of iOS.

Lumia 1020 is expected to be released to consumers last quarter of 2013. Hopefully it pops up a test version of the phone before the
