Now that sales of Apple’s “lucky bags” started in Japan, customers have begun to show off what was in this year’s specially-designed Incase bags.
In connection with the New Year begins many traders selling “lucky bags” in Japan, and Apple is no exception. Starting today, January 2, the company sells a number of special gifts for 36,000 yen, equivalent to 2 250. The contents turned out to be worth far more than the price tag when customers left the queues with bags containing any of the following: Macbook Air, Air Ipad, Ipad Mini or iPod Nano including some other products.
There are four different lucky bags to buy even if the exact content seems to vary slightly, according to Japanese site Macotakara. One of the most valuable gifts contained, among other things, an 11 inch Macbook Air, Apple Magic Mouse, Pill Speaker by Beats, a red Macbook Air Sleeve and a specially designed t-shirt.
The other contained either a wifi version of the Ipad Air or first generation iPad Mini or an iPod Nano. Along with these came example, Apple’s Smart Cover, Philips Hue lights, Nike + Fuel Band SE, Ultimate Ears Boombox, Stem IZON View remote control or the Square card reader.
As in previous years, sales are limited to Apple stores in Japan.
