Police Pust problems slowing the Customs Service - Computer Sweden

Customs Service is a of the seven agencies included in the RIF process (judicial system information management). The goal of the JHA work is to make the flow of information within the Swedish judicial system paperless and that information easier to be exchanged between the authorities (read more about it in the box opposite). To live up to the requirements, the Customs Service buy into police yelled reporting system Pust.

Class=”paragraphIntro”> – We can does not endorse the description because we ourselves have not used Pust. What we have seen, standing outside and watching, is that what was a negative image is something that is beginning to wear off. I understand that they corrected many errors and released new releases to get to overcome failure and others that have been problematic, says Dr Marlene Frenéus, national director and clients at Customs.

At the present time is the Customs Department in expecting. To the Customs Service to use Pust required for system support for the kind of crimes that fall under its responsibility. This work will be done in a later phase of development of Pust, which has been delayed. The idea is that the Customs Department will join after the stage, but the delay screw it to the Authority.

class=”paragraphIntro”> – Partly it is about how the police look at the development of Pust and it is a matter for the police. Then it’s also that we have deliberately chosen to wait, especially since the types of crime that the Customs Service is responsible for has not been found in Pust says Ewa-Marlene Frenéus.

class=”paragraphIntro”> This year would the first parts of the plan for Customs’ introduction to be running. Among other things, the authority would start with feasibility studies. Pust would be introduced in 2015, but it has been postponed to 2016.

class=”paragraphIntro”> – We make common assessment that it is 2016 we’re talking about, says Ewa-Marlene Frenéus.

class=”paragraphIntro”> addition to measures in Pust, the country’s police forces also work to become one large police department to consider. It will be finished 1 January 2015.

class=”paragraphIntro”> – As one would want to take care of external authorities who want to step on Pust, and on other issues, I do not think that the stamina. 2014 is an incredibly tough year for police, says Dr Marlene Frenéus.

class=”paragraphIntro”> Last September 1 this year, a new schedule to be ready for introduction. The big trouble for the Customs Service is that they are delayed in the JHA process.

class=”paragraphIntro”> – In JHA work and in relation to other authorities it means that the Customs Service is on the web at a later time. This has been flagged for the other JHA authorities and the Department of Justice that the police are below and the Treasury Department that the Customs Service is below, says Dr Marlene Frenéus.

class=”paragraphIntro”> Authority have searched additional funding for the introduction of Pust, and work with RIF, but has been rejected and must therefore finance the additional costs themselves. Therefore, the Authority shall ensure that the preparatory work and the resources used to prepare for accession to Pust be used in a good way.

class=”paragraphIntro”> – We must reschedule internally. Project funds and resources allocated, we try to reuse in other missions while we try to keep alive, and make the parts where we have to work on and do not depend on the police. We can prepare and you’re done, and we have done that part, says Dr Marlene Frenéus.
