On Wednesday, HP announced that it will begin production of smartphones and tablets again after having exited the market in 2011.
Their new venture is split in Slate Slate 6 and 7 Voice Tab, two Android devices on 6 and 7 inches. The line between phones and tablets is subtle when it comes to Slate devices, but they’ll both go to call with.
HP is clearly a very complicated history when it comes to smart phones. The company has previously sold phones under the brand iPaq. In 2010, it bought up Palm and their WebOS for representing approximately 6.7 billion. The following year, got a new HP chief, Léo Apotheker, and he chose to close down Web OS division.

Back to Slate devices. Less Slate 6 has a 6-inch display with 1280 times 720 pixels, while larger sibling Slate 7 Voice Tab offers 1280 times 800 pixels. Both monitors have IPS panels.
Slate 6 and 7 Slat Voice Tab is equipped with quad-core system processors (unclear which manufacturers), 16 gigabytes of storage memory and has a memory card slot (microSD) up to 32 gigabytes. Android version used should be 4.2, also known as Jelly Bean.
also says the two models to be relatively thin. Slate 6 is reported to have a thickness of over 9 millileter, while the corresponding figure for Slate 7 is 9.5 millimeters.
HP will initially start selling its new mobile devices in India, writes the site, Re / code.
